Visit to Jeevan Home in Taman Dato’ Amar, Klang, Selangor on 24 June 2007. All 15 boys and girls from the shelter sang, danced and performed a magic show, after which the devotees joined them for tea and snacks. Groceries and other sundry items were also presented to the home. |

A Mobile Eye Clinic was organised on 22 April 2007 at the Nigel Gardener Estate, Batang Berjuntai, Selangor with the assistance of the Tun Hussein Onn National Eye Hospital. A total of 80 people were screened for cataracts, 9 of whom were found to blind due to cataracts. Free surgery was performed on them in late 2007, and all are recovering well from the procedure. PAM also conducted medical screening for the children. |

Visit to the Agathians Shelter in Section 8, Petaling Jaya on 25 March 2007. This boys’ home has 30 residents aged from 6 to 16 years. The afternoon's event included games, a dance performance and a short talk, followed by tea. Contributions from members, including sundry goods and cash were presented to the shelter. |

On 3/12/2006 members visited Rumah Kebajikan Karunai Illam at No. 1024, Jalan E4/7, Taman Ehasan, Kepong. This is a welfare home for underprivileged school going girls who are orphans or from poor or broken homes. During the visit members had good interaction with the children. School bags, food items and kitchen appliances were donated by PAM. Games and lunch were organized by the members. |

A Medical screening camp was conducted at Bukit Tagar (Rawang) on 26/11/2006. Medical services for the residents are not easily available in this area because of its remoteness and lack of public transportation. Many of the residents are too poor to afford the expenses of traveling to areas where medical services are available. The team comprised of three doctors and twelve paramedical and general volunteers. Eighty five residents participated in the camp. The camp focused on general medical screening , post-prandial blood sugar testing, counselling/compliance to treatment, treatment of minor ailments, and referral to the nearest hospital for those in need. Children were de-wormed and the dental doctor counselled the children on dental care. |

A medical camp was conducted for residents of Nigel Estate, near Batang Berjuntai on 11 th June 2006. medical services to these residents are not easily available the area is remote, lack public transportation and most importantly is a poverty-stricken area. The team comprised of 3 doctors, nurses and 6 volunteers. |

On 21 st May 2006, members once again got together as part of community service and visited an Old Folks Home called Pusat Jagaan Sri Baba in Klang. This visit was in conjunction with Mother's Day. Medical Screening was conducted and clothes and food items were donated by PAM. |

On 20 th November 2005 members visited Trinity Children's' Home at No. 14, Jalan 18/17, Taman Kanagapuram, Petaling Jaya. This is basically a home for abused, neglected and abandoned children. Food items, clothes and gift packets were distributed. |

On 27 th November 2005 members visited PJ Caring Home at No. 5, Jalan Othman PJ. Food parcels and gift packets were distributed to the 80 residents of the home. |

Saraswathi Puja, prayers performed to attain wisdom was conducted by Swami Purnamritananda Puri at Sri Sakthi Eswari Temple , Sungai Way . The Society identified 21 UPSR children from underprivileged family who have been performing well in their education to receive complete sets of school textbooks as complement. The students received it personally from Swamiji. |

Swami Purnamritananda Puri visited Anbu Illam, an orphanage based in Gombak . The inmates of this orphanage are Hindus and are mostly school going children. Swamiji conducted prayers for the children and gave away stationeries for the students. Other gifts that are of common use for all was also given away. Before departing, Swamiji served food prepared by devotees for all the children presen t. |

A fund raising event was initiated after the Tsunami incident on December 26 2004 . The event became a major attraction after Amma announced on January 3rd, 2005 that the Ashram would provide Rs. 100 crore [$23 million U.S.D.] in tsunami-relief aid. The total collection from Malaysia to MA Math is RM159,138.50. |

Responding to the crisis in Darfur , Sudan where more than a million people displaced in civil war, Amriteswari Society of Malaysia donated RM3150.00 through MERCY Malaysia . The fund is to provide food, water and other life-saving assistance. |

A medical camp was conducted at two Orang Asli settlements namely, Kuala Sekam and Ulu Sekam that are are situated off the 17 th mile of the Tapah – Ringlet section of the road heading to Cameron Highlands . Nestled in between the hills, Kuala Sekam & Ulu Sekam are reached in 30 minutes and in 90 minutes respectively by a uphill walk. Our volunteers including nurses and pharmacists assisted the Doctors in screening and in treating the Orang Asli community. Apart from that, malarial screening and nutritional assessment, and basic refraction checkups were done by two local authorities namely, Jabatan Hal Ehwal Orang Asli and Pusat Kesihatan Tapah. |

Under the leadership of Seva Committee, a team comprising of two doctors and two volunteers left to Vakarai , Sri Lanka for medical relief work for the Tsunami victims. The team joined the Malaysian Medical Relief Task Force (MMRTF) in their ongoing medical relief work in Vakarai. |

Orientation programme for standard 6 Tamil school students at Taman Permata Tamil School , Dengkil. 55 students participated from five schools, namely, SJKT Ampar Tenang, SJKT Dengkil, SJKT Effingham Damansara, SJKT Taman Permata and Dengkil, SJKT Bangi. The objective of the programme is to prepare the students to secondary school environment and challenges. |

PAM participated in Malaysia Hindu Sangam Charity Food Bazaar. It was organised at Dewan Serbaguna SS3/14, P.J from 9 am – 2.30 pm . The purpose of the food bazaar was to present Deepavali provisions to 200 needy families around Kampung Medan and Petaling Jaya to enable them to celebrate the festival and to finance future community empowerment programmes. |

Conducted Medical Camp for two days at Orang Asli (Indigenous People) village at Batang Padang, a settlement about 18 km from Tapah. Team of 3 doctors performed general screening for 234 residents. Children were dewormed. In addition, the volunteers carried out cleaning, repairing and painting of the community hall. Lodging and food for the team and residents was sponsored by Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs. |

Visited Kesuma Home, a shelter home for orphans and disabled in Rinching near Semenyih. A general screening was conducted and a health talk was given to create awareness to the caretakers. The volunteers cleaned the home while the inmates medical problems were attended. |
